The Natural Resources Defense Council is a flagship organization in the field of environmental stewardship. ESMG was honored to accept the role of construction waste managers throughout two of their renovation projects.

Utilizing the limited space available, a program was developed that successfully diverted 95% of materials away from landfills.  

The initial phase of renovation saw the first time drywall and gypsum were recycled in New York City. The process has now become an industry standard when seeking green certification for building interiors.

Furniture, windows, computers and fixtures were all reused or repurposed by non-profit and small businesses in the tri-state area.

The 8th Floor renovation proudly carries the distinction of being the greenest urban interior in the world today.
